April Layouts by Yuko

Hello!Frisends!I would like to introduce three new layouts today.
I used all different collections.

【valentine】
 It's quite a season but ...
Pictures of when I made a cupcake with my daughter at Valentine's Day
I thought that I used it all the time.

This paper (home supun collection) is really cute! ! !

The title is a favorite favorite BFS embossed powder ginger.
At first it is a brownish dark colored powder.
When turning on the heater, it turns into a beautiful gold instant.
I love this change and I often demonstrate in the class.

This is a part of the 12-inch size chipboard sheet of the same collection.

Originally the surroundings were yellow but it will float slightly in color
I cut around with scissors.
As this 12-inch chip board comes out for each collection
It is very easy to use!

This is a picture at a rape-blossom field.
The name of my daughter is associated with a rape blossom.

This cool parent color used for the title!
It is an embossed powder IRIDESCENT GREY.
It is not black, dark gray. Moreover, it entered lame.
It seems quite easy to use !

I also textured the background paper with modeling paste.

This stamp is also cool!
I stamped three places, but do you understand?
It matches too much with the pattern and how far it was originally printed
I do not know where I stamped!

This chip board is embossed with gold
Modeling paste with fingers at random.I colored after drying.

Whether the atmosphere will come out just by putting various colors
I feel like rust.

Honeycomb chipboard used for layout
I used it as an embellishment
because the one pulled out was also hexagonal and cute.
I put liquid pearl in the center. Looks like Bolt?

It is a picture of Japanese traditions, cherry blossoms and school bags.

I processed it with IVOLY embossed powder.
I made it ivory because it was too floating in white. It is a nice color !

I imagined cherry blossom petals in the background

April Inspiration and a video tutorial by Vera Shelemekh

Hello Blue Fern Studios Fans.
Vera Shelemekh is here with some new inspiration and a video tutorial. Actually I can't stop cutting and layering the amazing In the Mood collection. I combine the sheets, I mix them with papers from other collections and I still have lots of ideas :)

So, the first layout is rocking fun. I've chosen the picture of my little son holding guitar. He looks like Axl Rose from Guns'n roses.. by the way roses are cut from Vintage Christmas - Deck the Halls as well as the big gitar behind the photo.

The background is full of hogs embossed with Antique gold powder.

The frame is covered with glitter. And there are also some seedlings here and there.

The other layout will make the album spread together with the heart shape layout from my March inspiration blog post. I tried to use the same colors and similar set of products.

I love the flower background  in combination with oval shapes cut from Heartland paper
The frame is covered with Vintage golf glitter

Lace adds special charm to wedding projects.

April Inspiration - Joanne Bain

Hi Everyone!!

Joanne here with you today to share a couple of layouts and a tutorial using gorgeous Blue Fern products.

For my first layout I mixed and matched collections. I have used papers from Amber & Apricot, Wanderlust and Seaside Cottage. I amazes me how beautifully the collections mix and match.

'My Loves'

So for this page was created with lots of fussy cut images from the different papers to create the dimensional cluster. The birds, brown leaves and yellow roses were cut from Birdsong and Sunny Deposition papers from the Amber And Apricot collection.

To get the fussy cut rose to blend into the paper I used the Penned Flourishes stamp and stamped a little more over the papers edge with black ink. It helped to blend it in perfectly.

In between each layer I added folded flowers and shredded cheesecloth to add extra interest and texture.

The frame around the top of my photo was cut from the In the Mood chipboard sheet and covered with some of the Seaside Cottage Mermaid patterned paper.

For my second layout I chose to go back to a favourite of mine white background. I chose to add fussy cut layers and add some of the Blue Fern mixed media ingredients. I have also created a step by step tutorail so maybe you can try your own or put your own spin on it.

'My Inspiration'

To create the main cluster I started by fussy cutting the flourishes from the Garden Life Morning Dew patterned paper.

In between each of the fussy cut layers I added a mixture of flowers and frayed cheesecloth. The background was created with a mixture of mica powders and paints. As I like my clusters to be tight I only allowed a little of the colour to show from behind.

In the background I also added Blue Fern seedlings and glitters. The main flower is one of the gorgeous white roses from the Garden Blooms set which was recoloured to coordinate with layout.

For the title I cut down the Blue Fern You Are My Inspiration chipboard title to just my inspiration bcause that is what my children are. All chipboard was left entirely raw.

And here is my tutorial, I hope you enjoy it.

April Inspiration - Megan

Hi Blue Fern Fans :)

Today I have two layouts to share with you, and one storage solution :) and for each project Ive used a different collection.
I recently found this photo hiding in my photo stash and had to use it; my wee Dougal <3 when he was a puppy peering over the temporary gate - he's 14 now!
This project uses two pieces of Optimistic from the new In the Mood Collection.

To create the background I have cut several of the 'diamonds' from the second piece of paper, inked the edges with a grey ink pad and popped them up with foam dots.  Ive also splattered pink and white paint over the page, and randomly stamped with grey ink.  The heart at the centre of the title has been painted pink and then covered in glitter.

I used two different chipboard designs, one to enhance the focal point of my photo and the other to give extra depth and interest to the page.  Each piece uses a different embossing powder which helps separate each piece from the other.

Printed chipboard is so versatile, here Ive just taken two of the printed chipboard pieces and layered them on top of each each, and Ive also used the circle pieces to help pop the photo up, giving more depth, and leaving just enough out for extra embellishment.

My second project uses two more cute boys ;) and this time the Wanderlust Collection.  The paper I used is Memento.

This time my background was created by spreading clear gesso over it and when dry spritzing with water and using different powders.  Again I have randomly stamped all around my composition.

Layers beneath the photo were created using the Calling Cards, and popping chipboard scraps between the layers.  A little chipboard can go a long way - I had one piece of Printer Bits left - I chopped this into three pieces, layering each piece on top of the Circle Groups chipboard.  The filmstrip was also a scrap piece left over.

Here you can see the depth created by all the layers.

The chipboard was embossed with Hot Cocoa and Wheat embossing powders.  The Beaded String and the filmstrip were coloured using rust pastes.

For my third and final project I wanted to create something to store my bottles of seedlings, embossing powders and glitters and I found the drawers at our local Warehouse.   This time I used the Remnants Collection.

Highgate patterned paper was used to cover the sides and the top of the drawers.  The white and grey woven pattern on the drawers was already there, I just covered the drawer handles with glitter.

To give the butterfly dimension, I sprayed it with water and curved the wings while wet.  When it was dry it was simply painted.

The berries on the end of the leaves I dipped in seedlings - they look like grapes!

The flourish underneath the cluster was from the Printed Chipboard set - this was simply painted to match the overall colour scheme.
